Craig Calfee:

The driving force behind Bamboosero is Craig Calfee. Craig has been building bikes since 1987. And bamboo bikes since 1995. Bamboosero sprung from a “crazy” idea to bring the idea of bamboo bicycles to Africa. Craig realized he could leverage his experience and reputation for quality in order to realize such a challenging dream. Since then, the idea has grown and gathered momentum as we’ve added partners.

Calfee has designed numerous types of bicycles using bamboo. Including, a track show bike, tandem bicycles, dutch bikes, an award winning road bike, as well as various other styles of bamboo bicycles. These are examples of the versatility, performance, and beauty bamboo brings to cycling.

Jason Cruz:

I am the newest edition to the Bamboosero sales/management team. I have been working in the bicycle industry for more than 8 years. I enjoy racing cyclocross bikes in Santa Cruz and playing disc golf in the woods. After a random visit to tour the Bamboosero facility, Craig and I started working together and we haven’t looked back since.
